Active Group

Active Group is a private investment company primarily involved in the ownership and operation of funeral homes and crematoriums in Malta and overseas. The Group, through its subsidiary and associated companies, is actively involved in various activities relating to funeral service industry, international repatriation of the deceased and related logistics.

The Group includes a travel and medical assistance company and a property holding company in charge of development and leasing of Group owned properties in Malta and overseas.

Our History

The Active Group was incorporated in 2009 following a restructure of the Camilleri family businesses, Swansea Enterprises and Camilleri Funeral Directors.

Swansea Enterprises, incorporated in 1986 was involved in car rental, travel and medical assistance services. This business was transferred to new companies Active Car Rental and Active Assistance Services.

The funeral business, having roots dating back to 1890, kept its original trading name Camilleri Funeral Directors and became part of the Active Group.

The Active Group holds material interests and investments in non-related companies operating in diverse sectors, mainly involved in the hospitality industry and real estate.

The group is Actively on the lookout for opportunities to invest in sound business ventures offering opportunities for growth and return on investment.

Active Assistance partners with Misterbianco Cremazioni
Misterbianco Cremazioni is Sicily’s premier crematorium. Built in 2021 in the vicinity of Catania, a 30 minute flight from Malta, it is the most accessible crematorium for Maltese nationals and expats residing in Malta.
